Compassionate and evidence-based treatment
for trauma and relationships in Austin, Texas
When is the last time you really asked yourself this question or had someone who really wanted to know ask you? If you are experiencing some difficult feelings you aren’t alone. Everyone has them. Sometimes though, they can be overwhelming, long lasting, and feel unmanageable affecting every aspect of our day to day lives. Are you experiencing any of the following feelings: anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, grief, anger, low self worth, disconnection, loneliness, difficulty communicating, conflict? If so, you are in the right place. I would love to really know how you are and how these emotions and experiences are affecting your life and relationships.
Working together we can bring about more resiliency and connection with your own emotions and in your relationships with others. Understanding is one part of the process to healing and change. Yet understanding alone is incomplete. Another vital aspect is gaining concrete knowledge and skills to put into practice the changes that can transform your everyday life into a more peaceful, connected, and purposeful experience. Therapy can help you gain all of these. I have had the privilege of working with individuals and couples to become better partners, recover from trauma and abuse, feel happier, more confident, better about themselves and more connected to their own internal experience and to others. If you are longing for more peace and ease with yourself and others, there is hope. I look forward to working with you and helping you realize your individual and relationship potential.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based psychotherapy that enables people to heal from symptoms and emotional distress resulting from disturbing life experiences. It facilitates the accessing and processing of traumatic memories and other adverse life experience to bring these to an adaptive resolution.
Meeting you where you are and journeying together to discover and heal is a tremendous privilege as a therapist. Sometimes healing means confronting. It does not have to mean overwhelming. I dedicate our time to creating a collaborative, kind, direct approach that is centered on you. My hope is for you to achieve greater ease and connection with yourself and others.
I love to facilitate insight and to incorporate tangible skills as part of my work with adults and couples. Throughout my life and career, living and working overseas, I have engaged people with many different languages, backgrounds, cultures, and religions. I recognize the need to incorporate your unique values and experience into the counseling process. I value being inclusive and creating a warm accepting environment that is inclusive to all.
I obtained my Master of Counseling Degree from Northwestern University and am a graduate of California State University Sacramento. I am EMDR trained and have completed Level 2 of Gottman Couples Method.
